The art of chasing rabbits


There’s a great Chinese proverb that states: “If you chase two rabbits, both will escape.”


The same is true when it comes to marketing. So when you first start your financial planning business, it’s critical to know who your ideal client is so you know exactly who to target.


But how do you build a picture of your ideal client?


Here are some tips:


* Look at what your existing client base has in common (such as gender, age, income, location)

* Ask yourself which clients you prefer working with

* Identify their goals, fears, problems and needs

* Match your services to their preferences
